Post Production & Facilities

The Post Production & Facilities Branch (PP&F) represents workers within Post Production & Facilities who either work and/or live within London or the South East of England which is the London Production Division (LPD).

Our members work in all areas, grades and genres within picture and sound editorial as freelancers and staff from Post Production Runners to award-winning Picture and Sound Editors.

We actively work to maintain competitive, fair and thriving Post Production Departments and to improve conditions in the Film, TV and Web-Based Video Industries.

Props

The Bectu Props Branch is made up of props department (dressers, stores and standbys etc.) props modellers (including prop painters and carpenters), action props, greens and action vehicles.

Riggers

The Riggers Branch represents and organises riggers working in film & TV construction.

Alongside BBC, ITV and Pact, the Riggers Branch also runs the Joint Industry Grading Scheme (JIGS). Riggers joining the branch are encouraged to apply to join the scheme.

The Scenic Painters Branch represents and organises painters working in film and TV construction, organising for better pay, terms and conditions.

The branch has also produced, in collaboration with props painters (props branch), a PaintShop COSHH poster to raise awareness of the health hazards of the chemicals that painters work with, as well as the necessary PPE that should be used for such chemicals: Paint Shop COSHH

Special Effects (SFX)

The Special Effects Branch represents and organises those working in film & TV special effects.
