Assistant Directors Branch Page
Our branch is represented by a committee made up of working assistant directors from all levels, from runners to 1st ADs. The committee meet regularly throughout the year to discuss and highlight the issues that face us as a department working in today’s film, TV and commercials industry.
A new committee is voted in each year at the Bectu Assistant Directors branch AGM.

We encourage all assistant directors to get involved with the Union as it is only through our collective action and voices that we are able to stand up for each other and our working conditions and rights.
Branch news After a long negotiation process in which the ADs were an instrumental part, the new 2023 TV Drama Agreement was accepted with almost 60% voting in favour.
