Bullying and Harassment

Guidance, resources and news on bullying and harassment.

Bullying and harassment remains a widespread problem in the creative industries. It is time for a rebalancing and for employers and productions to put in place robust procedures that ensure dignity at work for all.

Different groups of employees are harassed in different ways.  At the workplace bullying is an abuse of personal power or official authority. It can humiliate people, destroy their confidence, have a detrimental effect on their health and hit attendance and job performance. It can also damage careers in the long term.

Bectu members should learn what constitutes as unacceptable behaviour in order to help prevent it from occurring and advise and support other members on how to deal with it.
