The Trainee Rigger Scheme offers a route for those seeking a career in entertainment rigging.

The scheme provides a way to identify and record the necessary training and experience needed to pursue a career in rigging, working towards the NRC Level 2 Qualification.

You cannot register online for the PLASA Trainee Rigger Scheme unless you have attended one of the specified industry-related one-day health and safety courses.

Bectu offers the Creative Industries Safety Passport. By doing the safety passport, you would be eligible for the trainee rigger scheme.

The specified courses have been chosen because they address health and safety issues which are different from those in the construction industry, and are widely recognised as meeting the entertainment industry standard.
