Beginners Guide to Creating Your Own Podcast

Due to COVID-19, our courses are currently suspended until further notice. Details of resumption of the vocational training programme will be communicated in due course. In the meantime, take a look at our new new online bitesize vocational training programme.

Creating and publishing podcasts is a simple but effective way of engaging with your audiences. But for many, the fear of what to say, how to record and where to put these podcasts stops them in their tracks. By showing you free or low cost platforms to use, and how to use equipment you may already own, this hands-on workshop by DigiEnable, will help demystify the process and get you producing your own podcasts in no time.

By the end of this workshop you will know:

  • How to plan and prepare an engaging podcast.
  • How to record your interviews and clips.
  • Hands on basic audio editing.
  • Online promotion techniques and platforms to share your podcasts.

*For this session you must bring your own laptop with at least 1 GB of storage space free, be able to confidently use your laptop and operating system and install the programme Audacity. If possible also bring a smart phone/tablet or small recording device to record your audio onto and the relevant cables to connect to your laptop.
