Shaping the future of Scotland

The 2026 Scottish Parliament elections are taking place at a crucial time, when people are closely watching the Scottish Government’s ability to deliver. Without proper investment in public services, infrastructure, and the people who deliver them, the Scottish Parliament’s plans may fall short.

Whilst Prospect remains politically independent and unaffiliated with any political party, we always advocate for the interests of members. So as Scotland looks ahead, we call on all parties and candidates to support workers in Scotland and commit to creating secure, well-paid, high‑quality jobs.

On this page, you’ll find Prospect’s policy recommendations for the next Scottish Government, which aim to make work better.
