This is not a plan for growth it is a plan to make workers poorer

The Chancellor has unveiled a mini-budget with announcements on reversing an increase on National Insurance Contributions, the abolition of the top rate of tax and an end to the cap on bankers’ bonuses.
They have also announced plans to make it harder for unions to take strike action and a legal requirement to ballot on pay offers before industrial action can be taken.
General Secretary of Prospect Mike Clancy said:
“This is not a plan for growth it is a plan to make workers poorer, employment less secure and will only exacerbate the cost-of-living crisis.
“We need a long-term plan that lifts our communities and builds on the best of British skills and innovation, not a race to the bottom on workers’ rights and environmental protections.”
