Get involved: BECTU LGBT+ Committee seeks new division representatives
BECTU’s LGBT+ Committee are seeking applications for representatives from the London Production, Digital Division and BT Divisions.
The LGBT+ Committee aims to be at the forefront of BECTU’s campaign to develop, improve and progress the equality and rights of LGBT+ members.
The committee commenced in 2015 and currently meets three/four times a year at a time. The meetings are held in BECTU Head Office, Clapham or New Prospect House, Waterloo with dial in facilities available.
One of the committee’s roles is to act as a forum where workers can raise any concerns they may have discrimination in the industry and do so in a secure and supportive environment. The LGBT+ Committee comprises representatives from across BECTU’s divisions and works closely with Prospect’s LGBT+ Network and our sister unions in the Federation of Entertainment Union.
Applications should include a short note on why they would like to join the committee and any relevant skills and experience.
