Bectu welcomes APA’s recommendation of a 12 hour maximum shoot day

The APA have recently reassessed the long working hours on commercials and how this can be restricted. For that reason, they will be recommending a shoot day does not go beyond 12 hours. In addition, Saturday’s will be charged at 1.5T to discourage weekend shooting.
Bectu National Secretary Spencer Macdonald says: “Bectu welcomes this shift in attitude and a recognition that quality of life outside of work is important. The union will monitor this together with the APA and continue to discuss how this is working in practice.”
