Starting safely

Gain a better understanding of your responsibilities around safety in the workplace. This short course for entry-level employees and freelancers in the TV and film industry includes a multi-choice assessment leading to industry certification valid for five years.

  • Identify workplace hazards and risks, their impact and how to control them.
  • Identify your role within safety, health and wellbeing are managed in the workplace

Course delivery

2 hours 40 mins

Online via Zoom or MS Teams. The course can also be delivered face to face.

Attendees will complete a 10 minute  multiple-choice assessment at the end.

The number of participants per course is 6 to 15.

Who is the course for?

The course is aimed at entry level, employees, and freelancers in the TV and film industry. A theatre and live events version of the course is also available (please contact Martin Roberts for further details).

The course will be valid for 5 years.
