Lifting safely

This is a new course for 2024 on manual handling from Bectu delivered primarily online via Zoom.

The Lifting Safely course has ‘flexibility by design’ so that it can meet the needs of specific crafts and specialist professional communities, while at the same time providing the generic manual handling safety awareness that promotes safe lifting in a variety of environments. Employers and producers can be confident that those that have passed this course in different grades and roles have undertaken the same course, accredited to the same objective standards, tested to the same standard, but focused on their own specific needs.

The course is approved by ScreenSkills Production Safety passport (PSP) scheme and is valid for 5 years and comes with a workbook pdf and a Screenskills and a Bectu certificate. With so many employers asking for proof of health and safety training Bectu is providing an approved qualification that is relevant to creative industries workers.
