Bectu at PLASA show 2022 

Bectu is delighted that PLASA Show, the UK’s international event for live entertainment technology, returns to London Olympia from 4-6 September 2022. PLASA will explore and showcase the latest in pro audio, AV, stage lighting, rigging and staging.

Bectu will have its own stall at the event (B37) where we will have giveaways like pens, sharpies, reusable coffee cups, reusable water bottles, bags, and Bectu’s ‘return to work’ factcard.

As usual we’ll be there to recruit members and show potential members in the creative industries the many benefits of joining Bectu, like our fantastic Public Liability Insurance offer and our free legal services. We will also highlight our recent campaign work, how we have campaigned successfully on issues from increasing diversity within theatre, our work to address work/life balance in theatre and campaigning to protect our professional touring members.

BECTU seminar for freelancers
Bectu’s Paul Evans will speak at the show to help freelancers learn more about tax and rights in the workplace. This session will detail the various pitfalls that can make the whole freelance deal go sour. Sign up for the session here
