Bectu announces biggest ever Freelancers’ Fair on Saturday 9 May
The union for creative ambition has announced its “bigger and better than ever” Freelancers’ Fair – by rolling out this hugely popular event to all its craft branches in film and TV.
In a first for the union, huge demand within the freelance film and TV sector has seen Bectu’s most successful industry event expand to fully integrate all of its specialist film and TV branches.
This flagship industry event, which takes place each year in London, will not only include seminars, workshops, kit and branch meetings but provide an unrivalled platform for cross-department networking. The event is also open to non-union members.
Lead official Emily Collin said: “The Freelancers’ Fair is a perfect opportunity for new industry entrants to make connections and see the range of industry experts who can help them in their career ahead. This is also a chance for more experienced freelancers to meet up with old friends and see what’s new in the world of work.
“On offer will be workshops to help you get ahead, a fully stocked exhibition area – including our new kit corner – one-to-ones covering CVs, financial and script advice, and more. You won’t want to miss this event.
“Our thought-provoking topical seminars take a look into the inner workings of the industry and seek to challenge and inform. We will top off the fair with networking drinks and a social overlooking the London cityscape – a perfect way to catch up with old colleagues and form new connections.”
Bectu’s Freelancers’ Fair takes place on Saturday 9 May 2020. Register your interest here and you’ll be among the first to know when the full programme is published and booking opens in March.
