Better Festival Campaign

Bectu, a sector of Prospect union, surveyed over 100 UK behind-the-scenes festival workers and crew about their experiences during the 2024 festival season. Respondents work in a variety of roles including construction, sound, lighting, production, rigging, stage management and more. 

We are now launching the next steps of the Better Festivals campaign. Alongside bringing the bad practices we discovered at some festivals to the attention of promoters and engagers, we now want to build a fact finding portfolio mapping the bad and the good practice across UK festivals.
