Producer Development Programme

Programme 2020

Bectu Vision’s Producer Development Programme 2020 is designed to develop the understanding, skills and connections of current film producers, based in Scotland to enable them to become our television producers of the future.

The aim of the programme is to equip the participants with the knowledge, confidence and ability to move into the role of television drama Producer whilst building a professional relationship with a specific independent production company.

The programme will commence with a 2-day Script Editing & Development with script guru John Yorke followed by one-to-one script development skills coaching with John and assignments across the year. There will be further short courses to develop skills including leadership and communication, budgeting & scheduling, sessions focused on understanding commissioning and BBC delivery processes and access to the Edinburgh TV Festival.
